Have you ever driven at night in the rain, and seen how oncoming head lights are flared ?

Well one of the side effects of lasik eye surgery

is for some people, lights at night, can flare like that, limiting your vision.
References :
You can get eye surgery and be fine. I'm almost certain the Corps has waivers for that and you will be able to do anything that Marines with normal vision can do. I'm 17 and plan to go in next summer, but I REALLY don't want to wear those birth control glasses so I'm going to talk to a recruiter about laser eye surgery. I'll probably try to get that soon.
References :
had laser eye surgery in Niagara Falls, canada at Lasik Provision. My surgery was about 12 years ago and my vision is 20/20 to date. This procedure changed my life! I can't recommend this procedure enough and I hope that you can give yourself the gift of sight. In the UK I would highly recommend The London vision clinic and have Dr. Dan Reinstein do your surgery. He is a very experienced surgeon and he has such a good reputation in the UK. He has done many procedures and is always doing clinical studies and research. I hope this helps and if you have any further questions about the process of the surgery please contact me. If you even come to Niagara Falls I would highly recommend Dr. Andrew Taylor. He is golden in my books.
References :
http://www.lasikprovision.com

Well if your prescription had been getting worse at a steady rate in recent years then expect that to continue. Laser eye surgery doesn't fix your eyes in any permanent way. its more like putting on a permanent contact lens to alter the shape of the cornea. Laser eye surgery (as with contact lenses) does not stop further deterioration in eyesight (which would have happened minus surgery.)

I was in your position and pursued the laser option with one of the names you mentioned but when i found out the blade part (cutting a slice in the cornea) i chose to back out of it.
Natural eyesight restoration can work with some people. You can try it for free as opposed to surgery. The risks and costs involved require careful consideration. I chose the natural eyesight restoration path and as a result got rid of problems such as dry eyes, ocular muscle restriction and irregular blinking. My depth perception also improved.

By the way to back up my answer i would say i dont get paid or have any obligation to promote one side of the arguement. Im just aware of the different options out there and will talk straight with you

PS
Adrienne's answer is just promoting the services her company offer. She has made this obvious by stating in her profile that she is the actual manager of the company. Note also the posting of the company's website in her answer.
References :
I'm having one eye done with Optical Express next week so I hope they're as good as people say they are. Optical Express, Ultralase and Optimax all gave me a range of tests and recommended the same treatment. I'm going with optical Express as they offer treatment locally and were marginally cheaper than Optimax and considerably cheaper than Ultralase.
They all said it's best to get it done when you're young. I'd probably have got more out of it if I'd had it done 15 years ago.
References :
what country are you in? Different countries have different requirements. The Australian army is very strict with its eyesight requirements but the US army might be different. I know as of a few years ago, eyesight for pilots had to be 20:20. I think it's been lowered recently.
References :
Surgery is not required and you can wear glasses. If you do not meet the minimum standard vision wise you will not be accepted, period.

Once you are in, and the Army has invested time and money into you, if your vision slips a bit you are allowed to wear glasses, if your vision deteriorates surgery is an option to bring it back in line.
