I've been wearing ...
I've been wearing glasses since I was eight and have been contemplating LASIK for a few years now. I saw in an earlier post that Z-LASIK is available in the States (California and Chicago); I live in Portland, Oregon. Will this procedure be available here in the foreseeable future? I would like to hear more about it.

I think you are not ...
I think you are not familiar with this technology, or the new femtosecond lasers. Your comments seem based on the old models from 2004-5.
2008 models, e.g. the Ziemer Z-LASIK (more recent than the latest Intralase) take only 15 seconds now to create the flap. Because there are no tissue adhesions with this Ziemer laser, the flap is lifted in 1-2 seconds, just as easily as a keratome flap. You have to see that to believe it!
Patients find this v easy, nothing like the earlier Intralase systems.

Hei, how procedure ...
Hei, how procedure could last few seconds if your femto is creating flap already minute under high pressure and in total blindness during this time for patient and then it takes 2 minutes to scrape flap up by blade. I know that femto lasik is much more unconvinient than normal microkeratome. Please comment.

NOT TRUE

The ...
NOT TRUE

The longest study is from London following laser eye surgery for 16 years.

There is NO regression or wearing off in these patients to date 16 years later.

hey I have been ...
hey I have been told that if you got a laser eye treatment your eye are likely to go back to the way they were or get worse after 20 to 30 years later, is it true because its a major problem for young people who might want to get treatment for their eyes.

NO-ONE (0%) are ...
NO-ONE (0%) are going blind or having any major problems with Z-LASIK. We have done more than 1000 successful procedures this year.
Results better than older blade LASIK, more accurate and better vision. The patients descrbe it as High Definition (HD) Vision!
