Yes. They use numbing drops in your eyes and they give you valium to keep you relaxed.

Hello everybody, …
Hello everybody, yesterday i have had this surgery operation, i was so scared before… but i swear that i have felt ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! only 4 minutes per eye and that’s all i was so happy that i have had a crazy laugh :D and now i can see clearllllly whithout my ***** glasses
PS: i’m from casablanca (Morocco) and the price of the opération for the two eyes is 5000 dirham (426 Euro)

Are you awake when they do this? If so, how do they keep your eyes from moving? I like the music. All surgery vids should be set to happy music…

do the doctors ask if you want ur surgery recorded or do you do it yourself? there seems to be quite a few videos of peoples laser eye surgery on YouTube!

I don’t know about “hurt” but I think during the healing process it’s a little more uncomfortable. In the end, though, the results seem better.

I also did the PRK …
I also did the PRK a few days ago.. Even when I see the video I think it’s weird to watch, but also I recommend it. Surgery didn’t hurt only the day after was bad for me.. not really the hurting but my eyes just couldn’t stand the light.. Now I see almost perfect, just a few more days of healing..

and defenately true, be very very very careful which doctor you decide to do the surgery with!!!!!!!

I had PRK exactly one month ago.

Left Eye: 20/15
Right Eye: 20/20

Highly recommended, as long as you select a good doctor.
