A question for all you optometrists? What can you do with a masters in optometry? Uk?

Posted on 8th September 2010 by admin in lasik uk

Ok, so the course in the uk is three years. After, if you want to go back to university and do your masters in optometry..what could you gain out of that masters? Like, could you carry out lasik? I’m confused..and how long does the masters take? Thanks, i’m thinking of doing optometry you see

No, you can do masters degree in anything e.g contact lenses, refractive surgery etc, what is meant by refractive surgery is knowing what happens in refractive surgery, studying how the cornea reacts to lasik etc, but know not actually carry one out that is for Ophthalmologists,

Good luck
